Operator, Whey

Responsible for the proper operation CIP and sanitation which includes the reverse osmosis (RO) systems, silos and water recovery system.
Coordinate the flow of whey, whey protein concentrates (WPC), whey creams, and permeates.
Knowledge of whey separators is preferred.
Knowledge of the procedure of how to change membranes is preferred.
Ensure the Master Sanitation Schedule is followed and documented as such.
Ensure necessary measures are in place to prevent product loss
Communicate and interact effectively with plant personnel and supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the process.
Adhere to and perform sanitation.
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

Two (2) years' experience in a food or dairy manufacturing environment is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent education and experience or training.
Mechanical/analytical abilities and understanding of the whey process.
Must possess or be able to pass State Pasteurizer license exam.
Must be able to calculate basic math functions, use a calculator.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
