Warehouser Operator 1

SUMMARY: The Warehouser Operator 1 person performs several duties, including, but not limited to, following written and verbal instructions and making decisions using good judgment based on prevailing conditions. The job requires the ability to read product labeling, transportation reports and paperwork, including entries in SAP. Perform loading and unloading trucks, both flatbed and containers. The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules. Employee must be dependable, able to follow instructions and directions. Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.

DETAILED DUTIES & KNOWLEDGE
Ensure accurate order picking
Ensure orders meet shipping/receiving/inventory deadlines
Ensure high quality loading workmanship
Maximize FIFO and reduce cost
Maximize storage space for finish good materials and staging area.
Adheres to the JM Life Critical Policies (Lock-Tag-Clear-Try; Line Breaking; Confined Space; Fall Protection; Arc Flash, Live Electrical Work; and working while under the influence).
Fully understands and can perform the required Warehouser functions within SAP related to Shipping & Receiving.
Must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment as required to complete the functions of the job assignments.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Maintain a current fork-lift driver certification.
Check-off on Daily Fork-lift Check Sheet.
Know the warehouse location for product storage
Knows how to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Complete appropriate process documentation by end of every work day.
Follow and complete all safety requirements (Pure Safety/Safety Pro-Metrics).
Accurately and consistently swipe at scheduled times (timekeeping).
This position reports to the Shipping Supervisor (PD Leader).
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications necessary to meet basic requirements:
High School diploma
Minimum of 1-year experience in warehouse & distribution
Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements
Understanding of labor laws, GMP requirements, OSHA and EPA regulations
Working knowledge of software programs such as spreadsheet programs
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Must display Flexibility, Integrity, and Diplomacy
Time management
Organizational skills
Basic computer skills / basic math skills / understanding of Unit of Measures (UOM)
Sit down propane lift truck experience/ certification
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Additional qualifications which help the hiring authority choose between applicants meeting basic requirements:
1-2 years' experience in an industrial environment
OSHA Certificate of completion

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
